2. Web space: You need an space to post your contents across the world wide web. There are a lot of webspace providers; both free and paid. I use ByetHost as my preferred free webhost.

3. DNS: Whatis DNS?: It is an abbreviation of Domain name system. It implements a distributed, hierarchical, and redundant database for information associated with Internet domain names and addresses.

4. CNAME record:”CNAME” is an abbreviation of “canonical name”. It just means forwarding a address at your domain to any other address, eg:

5. MX record: This is what you need. this means the mail exchange record which transforms your domain into a SMTP (simple mail transfer protocol).

Now, I shall move into the tutorial. If you have a TLD, you need to login into the webhosting account. Well, for everyone to easily understand the concept I am using a free domain and DNS service provider as an example.

Everyone wants an email address as you@yourname.com, isn’t it?

The Process: First I shall write about registering a domain at http://www.co.cc/
1.First of all go to http://www.co.cc
2.Click create an account now at the top
3.Fill in the form and check the ‘I accept the terms of service button’
4.After you register and login click the GETTING A NEW DOMAIN link
5.Enter your desired domain name
6.Then click the setup button at the next page

Now, you open Windows Live!!
1.You can login or create a new account there. Your windows live id will be valid for login
2.Then create the add domain button
3.Enter your domain name
4.Accept the user privacy policy
5.Then you get a window like this

Again go at your co.cc! account page and click the setup button
1.In the window that appears click the option no.2 ‘Zone records’
2.Click the type ‘MX’
3.Type your co.cc address at host name and MX server address you got at the above figure
4. Click the setup button and finally click the refresh button at windows live resulting page!!your email address will be now created.

To login..you must type http://mail.live.com and enter your email as you@yourname.co.cc

I again repeat the process is the same for .com and other TLDs…
